Mira met Haedrig in a town on the outskirts of Kurast. She was locked in a cage, to be burnt as a "witch." In the middle of the night, Haedrig broke her out, and they escaped. Her captors didn't chase them far—Haedrig reflected that this was likely because they were pleased to see her go. Soon after meeting, the pair passed near Caldeum. She wanted to stop and see the city, but Haedrig convinced her to travel on.
