Toscane Industries was a major corporation on Komarr that controlled, among other areas of industry, their Necklin rod construction work. A large chunk of the corporation was owned by Anna Toscane, aunt to Empress Laisa; she was a married woman in her sixties who considered Ivan Vorpatril to be a "very cute boy". They performed joint work with Vorsmythe Limited of Barrayar in constructing a new jump-point station.
