On one occasion, Part-Time Powers Man was flying through the skies when his unpredictable powers "took a lunch break" and he began to plummet towards the ground. Fortunately, Sonic the Hedgehog was in the area and created a funnel of speed to slow his descent and got the superhero to the ground safely. As gratitude, Part-Time Powers Man invited Sonic and Amy Rose to Herocon - '99. However, he could be seen amongst the crowd that night.
