Samson X was a former genetic slave and a member of the Audubon Ballroom. He was freed from a slaver ship as a young adult by a Solarian League Navy ship under the command of Captain Samson, whose name he took as his own when he became a Beowulfan citizen. He was just young enough to receive first generation prolong treatment. At the end of the 19th Century PD, he commanded the Ballroom-captured slaver vessel Reprisal during a raid on a slave depot in the Casimir System. (HHA5: LD)
