Anika Noni Rose (b. 1972) is an American actress best known for her Tony Award winning performance in the Broadway musical Caroline, or Change, as well as the feature films Dreamgirls and Disney's The Princess and the Frog. Rose and Miss Piggy made the rounds on the red carpet together at the Good Housekeeping Shine On Event, honoring 125 influental women of the past 125 years. Aside from her role as Tiana, the first African-American Disney Princess, Rose has also sang in From Justin to Kelly, and appeared in an all black Broadway production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (with James Earl Jones).
