Arneb was a star visible from Ten Forward while the USS Enterprise-D was near 'aucdet IX in 2365. Wesley Crusher pointed it out to Guinan when she asked him what he saw looking out of the viewport. (TNG: "The Child" ) According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 46) , Arneb (Alpha Leporis) was one of the brightest stars in Earth's night sky and was located in the constellation Lepus.
