Aligning the Matrix is a weave from the Age of Legends. The weave was used to strengthen metal, and was probably the method used for making power-wrought weapons, the likes which are not found in the present day. Moghedien tried to teach Egwene al'Vere the weave, however Moghedien is poorer at Aligning the Matrix than she is at Healing. The weave probably was rediscovered by Fager Neald while forging.
