[Source] High-output ion turbines were a type of ion drives available in the period following the Battle of Yavin, during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. They increased the speed of starships and airspeeders but had a bad reliability. Models included Girodyne's Ter40 high-output ion turbine, Sienar Fleet Systems's SFS-220 ion drive and Koensayr Manufacturing's R800 ion ramjet.
