Often refered to as Kaname, Yoruichi Kaname is a Jonin from the Land of Lightning. She was Akira Kaname's caretaker. She found him when he was about 3 years old, and took pity on him. She was like an older sister to Akira when he was a kid. She also loved to play an ocarina she made out of a rare mineral in the Land of Lightning. She was brutally tortured in the Land of Spires' prison. She kept telepathically communicating to Akira telling him that she was alright. She knew that Akira was preparing to save her, but she soon saw that her end was near.
