The 43rd Battalion, also known as the Killer Aiwha, was a clone trooper unit in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In 21 BBY, the 43rd participated in the Battle of Jabiim and was stationed in Shelter Base, a Republic outpost on the planet. During the battle, the battalion was completely wiped out when the Separatist forces attacked Shelter Base. The battle later ended with a Republic defeat, as the Republic suffered severe causalities.
