Tsubata lives with her brother, Tadayoshi the Farmer, in Kumaso Village. They get by through her brother always working on the farm. He works on the farm too much for Tsubata's taste and she always worries about him overexerting himself, which he usually does. Though she worries about her brother she doesn't have the nerve to interrupt his work, but still finds ways to sneak him lunch by getting other people to give it to him.
