Andrei Jalenko was a colonel in the Srav Federation. Frustrated by his lack of prospects and failure to get promoted, he was considered very harsh and strict when it came to troops. After a stint as commandant of a Srav base on Hypori, with responsibilities for training the troops there, he was put in charge of a Srav brigade. Eventually, he participated in the Battle of Ankarr, where he was captured by the Zayre.
