Stormcliff was an old Collinsport mansion in the novel The Secret of Barnabas Collins. From internal clues, it seems to have been built in the 1850s by Peter Collins for his bride. After a few months, she fell off a horse and broke her neck. Peter Collins killed the horse, sold his share of the family business, and left Collinsport. One of Peter's brothers lived at Stormcliff, but his wife didn't like it, so they went back to Collinwood. Then a Collins uncle lived there until he died in an accident at the fish-packing factory. After that, the house was boarded up until Barnabas Collins rented it in the 1870s.
