Sōjiro Okita (宗次郎沖田, Okita Sōjiro) is the current heir to the Okita Clan, the ruling family of Soul Society, and the eldest son of the current Spirit King. He is also the current leader of the Royal Guard, having served in the division for the past two centuries, and having lead the group for the past twenty years. He is the half-brother of Jūbei Okita, though the two siblings do not get along and are no longer on speaking terms.
