The European Union held the Tallinn Ministerial Conference on Critical Information Infrastructure Protection in April 2009. The areas of discussion included policy priorities for the protection of CIIs; for improving the European governance environment in the definition and implementation of CIIP policies; for advancing international dialogue in this area; and for ensuring the maximum level of synergy between economic/societal and law enforcement dimensions of CIIP efforts.
