The 2005 Banquet 400 was a Nextel Cup Series event held at Kansas Speedway on October 9, 2005. Mark Martin dominated the event, leading 139 of the 267 laps in route to his only victory of the season (and to this point final of his career). With a strong 4th place effort, Tony Stewart reclaimed the points lead by 75 markers over Ryan Newman in the Chase for the Nextel Cup.
