Ki Baratan is the capital city of the Romulan Star Empire. Located on Romulus, on the coast of the Apnex Sea, the city was also known (in earlier times) as Dartha and (in some instances) as Val'danadex Trel. (ST novel Vulcan's Heart, et. al) Timothy Sinclair visited Ki Baratan on several occasions. He recalled none of them as being particularly pleasant experiences. (Star Trek: Pendragon)
