Angel was the Maltese entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kyiv performed by Chiara Siracusa. This was her second appearance at the contest following her third-place finish in Birmingham in 1998 As Malta placed inside the top ten non-Big Four/Host songs in 2004, Malta did not have to go through the semifinal. In the final, the song was performed 3rd following the United Kingdom and preceding Romania. At the close of voting, it finished in 2nd place with 192, giving Malta an automatic berth in the 2006 final.
