Fred S. Fox (July 26, 1915 - October 23, 2005) co-wrote seven episodes of The Andy Griffith Show. He also wrote episodes of the TV series "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis", "The Joey Bishop Show", "Make Room for Daddy", "My Favorite Martian", "Petticoat Junction", "F Troop", "The Lucy Show", "I Dream of Jeannie", "The Red Skelton Show", "The Doris Day Show", "Family Affair", "Here's Lucy", "Maude", "Chico and the Man", "What's Happening!", "Alice", "Diff'rent Strokes" and "The Jeffersons". He was a staff writer for Bob Hope and co-wrote the screenplay for the George Burns film Oh God! Book II. He received an Emmy nomination for the TV special "The George Burns One-Man Show".
