Sergeant Fox is an angel of the God-Machine. He assisted William Dear in the creation of Mary, and later gave Mary's clockwork brain to Jon Dear. Fox resembles an obese, red-faced man in a policeman's uniform. He speaks with an Irish accident, but his speech mannerisms are noticeably artificial and odd-sounding, like a charicature of a colorful, jolly Irishman rather than a real person. He habitually gets around by bicycle.
