Hashirama Senju was the leader of the Senju Clan and the brother of Tobirama during the Second Great Shinobi War. He formed an alliance with Madara Uchiha of the Uchiha Clan in order to cease hostilities between the rival clans. This alliance gave birth to the first shinobi village in the world, Konohagakure. Hashirama is also known to be a wielder of the clan's kekkei genkai, the wood techniques, and was the one who produced the mass of forests that cover the Land of Fire, the nation in which Konohagakure resides in.
