Kuni Kenichi was a shugenja of the Crab Clan. In 785 he denied Tea of Jade Petals to Kuni Satoshi, during a scouting mission in the Shadowlands. It was proved the lack of the tea had damned Satoshi, who was haunted by a Baku no Oni after returning home. Kenichi was accused by Hiruma Iku, Satoshi's friend, and executed as a traitor.
