Pter Vanteck was a male individual who served the Galactic Empire as a member of the maintenance team of the Imperial Monitoring Garrison on the planet Derilyn during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Vanteck became an agent of the Friends of Paran, an anti-Imperial resistance group, and shortly after the Friends came into contact with a team of Rebel Alliance operatives, Vantack traveled to the Friends of Paran base in the city Knellis and reported to the resistance group that he had heard word that the Empire were commencing an initiative called Operation: Elrood. Vanteck subsequently helped the Rebels and several Friends of Paran agents to infiltrate the Monitoring Garrison and steal datafiles regarding the initiative.
