The Wretched Frog was the largest restaurant in Nanashi Mura, and it was also a gambling house. The owner in 1125 was Kaeru Hayashi and his business was nowhere as good as the Silent Garden. The Wretched Frog had not worked out very well, even after many years of trying, and the War of the Rich Frog had only lessened the Kaeru's interest in the restaurant.
