The Bare-necked umbrellabird (Cephalopterus glabricollis), is a species of umbrellabird in the Cotingidae family. It is found in Costa Rica and Panama. This is the largest passerine in its range and among the largest members of the Cotingidae family, although the Amazonian umbrellabird is slightly larger. Males, at 41 cm (16 in) and 450 g (1 lb) are larger than females, at 36 cm (14 in) and 320 g (11.3 oz). Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
