The unnamed Midwife and her colleague were on hand for the safe delivery of Sunita Alahan's twins Aadi and Asha in January 2006. Having split up from her husband Dev during pregnancy, the midwives did their best to keep him away from the delivery suite once he'd found out about her hospitalisation and reassured Sunita that security would be called if Dev continued to cause a nuisance. However, she mellowed and let the proud father be present at the birth whilst friend Shelley Unwin sat in the waiting area.
