Jizz-wail was briefly mentioned in the young-readers novel Jedi Quest: The Dangerous Games (2002), by Jude Watson. It has an unknown relationship to the musical style known as jizz, created for Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, released in 1977. The band featured in the cantina scene is performing jizz, an obvious nod to real-world jazz. Jizz-wail, however, should not be confused with the term "jizz-wailer," which refers to musicians especially adept at performing jizz.
