The New Jersey class heavy battlecruisers were a type of United Federation of Planets starship on active duty in Starfleet during the very late 2290s and the early 24th century. (Task Force Games: UFP: The Federation Sourcebook for Prime Directive) It was the fifth and final iteration of the Kirov-class was intended for improved firepower, particularly in base assaults.
