Vorrutyer House, the official residence of Count Vorrutyer in Vorbarr Sultana, was built some time before Vorkosigan House (about a generation previous, according to A Civil Campaign). It was built to a more fortress-like standard, with gun-slits instead of windows and murder-holes in the roof. The stone walls were constructed with projections to the sides in a blunted star pattern to provide crossfile angles to defenders. The double-door entrances were made from iron-bound planks.
