Black Juju is the heroic idenity of a preacher in Chicago named Joshua. He has a duaghter named Gloria. His ancestors used the Holy Amulet of the Ancient Yoruba to battle demons, and he is the inheritor of that power (he was given the amulet by his father). After seeing Ghost Rider, he assumes the Rider is evil, so he attacks him. However, when he witnesses Ghost Rider destroy a bomb meant to blow up an L train, he changes his mind and lets Blaze go.
