The Cloud Legal Project (CLP) aims to address the various aspects of the legal and regulatory status of cloud computing that will be essential to its successful development. The CLP research findings demonstrate thought leadership in several complex and difficult areas of law and regulation that are of vital importance to governments and businesses globally. The multi-year project was started in October 2009 by members of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) at Queen Mary, University of London with financial support from the Microsoft Corporation.
