The Murabutin are considered the hardiest of the Berber races. Inhabiting the oasis areas in the central desert on the borders with Ghana, Murabitin contribute toward the bulk of the Maghrebs armies - and ultimately take up the reigns of power from the Numidians. Their main settlement is the metropolis of Timbuctoo, although later on their history they establish the fortress cities of Marrakesh, Rabat and some others.
