Weight Eye color Tortoise is a minor character in Alice in Wonderland. He dose not appear, only metioned. He is mentioned by the Mock Turtle when he is talking about his childhood. Tortoise is Mock Turtle's Teacher. When Alice asks why he is called Tortoise if he's a Turtle the Mock Turtle replise, "We called him Tortoise because he Taught us!". This was a very clever play on Words.
