Ujina Shouta, nicknamed the Black Hare, was a bushi of the Hare Clan. He was a skilled and deadly warrior, a potent tracker and hunter, a famous hero for his deeds, as his victory against the bandit king Takimon the Cruel in single combat. Shouta was also known for getting things done at any cost, even his honor. He moved to Naishou province to accomplish a mission for the new governor Miya Ansho.
