James Blackridge is the son of a family of Westfall farmers. On his day off the farm, Jimmy went fishing along the shore with his two friends Liam and Bram Woodring. He and his friends were abducted and found themselves unwilling crew members for the Bloodsail Buccaneers. The Bloodsail Buccaneers taught the three boys how to fight. Being the biggest of the three, Jimmy became a good warrior and used a two-handed axe as his weapon of choice. Under the command of Captain Jerias Bloodvein, the captain of the Garrote, Jimmy was forced to plunder and kill in merchant ships and Defias Brotherhood strongholds.
