Ben Appleby, full name Arthur Benjamin Appleby, was a central half-back who played for Bristol Rovers between 1903 and 1908. He was a member of the Southern League championship winning team in 1904-05. Appleby joined Rovers from West Bromwich Albion, for whom he had played a single league game before joining Rovers in 1903.
