The Pentad was the ruling body of Danvian society on Danus Colony, where the empathic, genetically-engineered humans made their home after escaping from Rolgothi. After the destruction of Alderaan just before the Battle of Yavin, the Pentad decided to take their people into the Unknown Regions to escape the Empire and the shockwaves of pain that events like planetary destruction could cause. A small group of rebellious Danvians, led by Badaran Redblood, disagreed with this decision and stayed behind in Imperial space to work against Palpatine’s New Order. The Pentad, while saddened by the loss of these fellow Danvians, were secretly glad to be rid of Redblood and his malcontents.
