After Peter takes the family there in "Hot Pocket-Dial", Maurice offers Peter a toothpick which he starts to decline as an unnecessary expense until Lois points out that it is complimentary. Peter uses the toothpick to adopt a tough guy image, but when he accidentally shallows it after several days, he needs to return to Smitty's for another. But when he arrives, the sight of an old woman using a toothpick kills his desire for another.
