Alek Thesh grew up like every other child born in the slums of Coruscant, away from all the fancy senate buildings and Jedi temples. It was common fact that he and every other boy in the slums would either be a bodyguard, smuggler, or a mercenary. Thesh was curious about the galaxy outside the Republic capital, so he became a smuggler, while rarely ever flying off-world, he enjoyed the risk and adventure. Alek was a force sensitive, this knowledge however, never escaped outside the confines of his family, and closest friends. He refused to be a Jedi, calling them hypocrites and selfish pricks.
