Duckrolling is/was an original phenomenon on imageboards that tricked unsuspecting lurkers into viewing a ridiculous picture of a duck on wheels. The intent is to anger people using deception. There's really not much more to this meme than that. As this meme does not involve an obnoxious song or video and can only really be done on imageboards (and not IRL), its popularity never came close to that of its unoriginal successor, Rickroll.
