A Serial Number Plate is a plate affixed to a machine or vehicle with a unique number stamped or cast into it. They are sometimes known as manufacturers plates as they sate the Manufacturers name. These normally run in sequence and often have other letters or numbers of part of the code to indicate different models or options fitted to the machine. They known as serial number plates due to the numbers being in series (1,2,3, 4 etc.)
