Gainibu III was the king of Valmiera and the emperor of the provinces and colonies during the Derlavaian War. Despite his army's best efforts, Valmiera fell to Algarve in short order. Gainibu was captured in the palace. He remained an Algarvian puppet for the duration of the occupation. He was forced to appear in public by his captors, who enjoyed making him pay for his father's actions during the Six Years' War. Gainibu helped by drinking himself into a stupor whenever possible. When Valmiera was liberated, Gainibu reasserted his rule, and took revenge on those who collaborated with the Algarvians.
