Local resident Farmer Nige was amazed to find that his vegetable crops had grown to a massive size, leading him to believe that he would be in for a prize this harvest. However, a couple of onions dislodged themselves from the ground and, at night, took a trip into the town centre. Moving around in shadow, the onions were spotted by Wallace and Doris, prompting an investigation by the townspeople and the arrival of Harry Mole from O.O.E.R.. During his enquiries, Mole learned that the majority of Nige's vegetables had been stolen. However, they both soon found that the vegetables had gained minds of their own.
