Hurricane Jeanne was the tenth named storm and the sixth hurricane of the 1998 Atlantic hurricane season. Jeanne developed at a low latitude of 10°N, moved west-northwest for awhile, then turned to the north, then finally to the northeast, recurving harmlessly out to sea. Jeanne caused no damage, and no reported fatalities.
