Simonson was a Havenite citizen and a noncommssioned officer of the People's Marines. Holding the rank of Sergeant, she served aboard the light cruiser PNS Vaubon. She was an expert with computers, and was tasked with retrieving data from a captured pirate vessel. Once she was done, she was ordered to demolish the ship. (HH6)
