The Asphodel Caverns was one of the three parts of the Underworld. It was an area designated for the souls of those who lived balanced lives of good and evil. When Hercules visited the Underworld to bring Persephone back to Demeter, Hades mentioned the Asphodel Caverns as part of his responsibilities.
