The World Spirit is a God-like figure in the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. It is seen as all powerful. It can take on a number of forms and is often deemed as the cause for many acts, such as the avalanche that killed the Demon Bear. It is said to reside on the Mountain of the World Spirit. The World Spirit was the one to make Torak a Spirit Walker when he was born. He prophecied that Torak must fight all his life to destroy the evil his father helped create. In the winter the World Spirit takes the form of a woman with willow hair. In the summer it looks like a man with the antlers of a stag. It is both feared and respected, and it is considered bad luck to see it.
