Mike was a student at Campo de Cahuenga High School in Los Angeles. in 2008, Mike hosted a party at his home which involved many of the kids that attended his school, including John Connor, whom he delighted in taunting. One of the guests, Riley Dawson, flirted with him and stole his lighter. When he discovered this, he attempted to physically force her into returning it to him. This lead to John beating him up, breaking his nose in the process. Mike then backed off and allowed Riley to keep the lighter.
