ESSO (short for "Electronic Service Station Operator") is a robot who appears in a 1968 industrial film produced by Muppets, Inc. for Flying A Dealers. ESSO is assigned to work at the first fully technology-operated Flying A gas station. ESSO does his best to assist a hapless man who arrives to fill his tank, only for ESSO to fill the entire car with gas, break his windshield, flatten his tire and tip the entire car over. Despite this, the narration from the company representative considers him a success.
