"Sometime in the Morning" was written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin and recorded by the Monkees for their 1967 album More of the Monkees. It features Micky Dolenz on lead vocals, and both mono and stereo versions were produced. Dolenz remade the song for his 2010 solo album King for a Day. The album was a tribute to the songwriting talent of Carole King.
